Klinik Hirslanden is the flagship hospital of the Hirslanden Group, founded in 1932 and set high above Lake Zurich in the leafy Hirslanden district. With 330 beds, 14 operating theatres and more than 50 institutes and centres of medical excellence, it offers the full range of private hospital care — with particular strengths in cardiology, visceral surgery, neuroscience, orthopaedics and gynaecology and obstetrics. It runs a 24-hour emergency department and certified stroke centre, and was one of the first Swiss private hospitals to use robotic da Vinci surgery. The hospital serves patients of all insurance categories and treats international patients alongside Swiss insured ones.
